Canadian DJ:. M-Rock

Posted on 0
So, it seems that great things are taking off with the blog.  I received this on Tuesday evening from M-Rock- a DJ/ producer in Toronto.  He has compiled a list 69 Kanye tracks.  This is hot! But you can decide for yourself.

Here’s the mail I received, and what M-Rock had to say to me:

“I’m sending a best of Kanye tape for your blog, 69 of his greatest tracks and beats with lots of creativity on the turntables.  …It just did 5000+ downloads after a month, been a feature on and Jay-Z’s DJ, Neil Armstrong, said “Amazing job, haven’t listened to all of it but what I’ve heard is top notch. Good stuff man, thank you
for sending it…”

So that’s the mail.  Here’s some info on the chap.

My name is M-Rock, I DJ full-time in Toronto and my other passion is producing.  My background is DJ battling, beat battling, and I’ve won awards from judges Q-bert, Just Blaze, Alchemist, etc.

Diversity comes naturally for M-Rock. He DJs multiple events weekly, composes and produces music for film/ TV/ radio, and still knows how to kick a DJ’s ass – and much more. In 2010, the resident DJ for One Eleven (Yorkville, Toronto) has filled the dancefloor for clients such as Shaquille O‘Neal, recording artist Drake and fashion designer Marc Ecko. All of who have all complimented him personally at the DJ booth. The biggest reward was performing in front of his idols like DJ Premier at Scion’s King of Beats competition in New York.
“The judges knew I used to battle” says the DJ veteran, who spent 4 years facing off DJs in the DMCs and other DJ competitions held in New York, Hollywood, Las Vegas, and London, England, always managing to fly home with at least one world-class award.

So take a listen, download, do as you please.  He’s on fire!
